EDMONTON, Alberta (November 15, 2016) – Kids & Company cut the ribbon today on an early learning and child care centre in the vibrant Edmonton ICE District.
On target for their December 2016 welcoming of children, the Kids & Company centre will occupy 9,400 square feet on the fourth floor of the new Edmonton Tower with eight classrooms for children ages infant to five years old. Hours will be Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with extended hours available for special events.
Kids & Company aims to provide flexible, modern and enriched child care solutions for the families they serve. “We have two other locations in Edmonton and are committed to meeting the demand for high-quality care in the community, so the introduction of the picturesque Edmonton ICE District Centre comes at a good time,” says Victoria Sopik, co-founder and CEO of Kids & Company. “What has made us such an important provider of child care is our unique programming, mandate to hire the best teachers and focus on the details that create an experience beyond expectation.”
Their approach not only resonates with families, but has made them a go-to partner for hundreds of companies that sponsor priority care and flexible back-up packages to their employees.
“Kids & Company is an important addition to ICE District, providing parents who will come to work in the District with a nurturing and safe childcare facility,” said Glen Scott, Senior Vice President Real Estate, Katz Group. “To have a top-quality child care centre within a top-quality building like Edmonton Tower is the perfect combination. We’re proud to officially welcome Kids & Company to ICE District as they celebrate their grand opening today.”
The public celebration today was attended by families, corporate partners, city officials, partners from ONE Properties, Katz Group, Oilers Entertainment Group, and Kids & Company staff.
The Edmonton Tower is a state-of-the-art, 27 storey structure that is an integral component of ICE District and will be home to The City of Edmonton and other tenants. Located at the corner of 101st St. and 104th Ave., the Tower is being built to LEED Gold standards and is almost fully leased.
In addition to a child care centre, ICE District will offer office space, retail, residential, hotel and entertainment options, providing an exciting and dynamic community in the heart of downtown Edmonton.
