Ford Tailgate Party

The Ford Tailgate Party has moved to Fan Park at ICE District! New this season, fans can enjoy a bigger and louder atmosphere in the new space, located on the parcel of land immediately east of Rogers Place between 102 Street and 101 Street. The Ford Tailgate Party will be open for all home playoff games and will feature live entertainment, Edmonton Oilers alumni appearances and signings, hot food, cold beverages and the best playoff atmosphere in Edmonton!

Fan Park at ICE District features a large, fenced, programmable space designed to accommodate and celebrate the uniqueness of Oil Country, its citizens and Downtown Edmonton.

This area is all ages and free to enter with no ticket is required.

Merchandise

Your home for Edmonton Oilers Playoff gear, The Official Oilers Team store in ICE District Plaza boasts 3,400 square feet of retail space filled with Oilers merchandise and one-of-a-kind game used equipment.

The ICE District Authentics pop up store in Ford Hall will be open 2-hours and 30 minutes prior to game start.

This 50/50 is in support of the Ben Stelter Fund. ICE District Central Parkade

Brightly lit & security patrolled, the ICE District Central Parkade has hundreds of heated spaces and convenient access to Rogers Place and located on the north side of 103 Ave just west of 103 St. The parkade offers 6’10” (2.08 m) clearance and quick indoor access to Rogers Place via the ICE District Central Parkade P1 elevator or through the Stantec Tower Level Two pedway.

ICE District Bag/Purse Policy

Bags and purses are allowed, however bags larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ (i.e. backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, etc.) are prohibited from entry into Rogers Place. All other bags will be permitted after a physical inspection of its contents.

To assist with entry into Rogers Place with a medically necessary bag, please contact our Ticketing & Customer Services Team in advance of the event at 780-414-4625 or info@rogersplace.com.

Smoking & Cannabis Policy

For the enjoyment of all of our guests, Rogers Place is a smoke-free environment. All forms of smoking, including the use of cannabis products and electronic cigarettes (vaping), is not permitted on Rogers Place property. Please be aware that guests will not be permitted to exit and re-enter the venue during events.

Prohibited Items

For the safety and security of all watch party guests and employees, the following items are not permitted at the Ford Tailgate Watch Party:

  • Sticks, flags & flagpoles
  • Aerosol cans & fireworks
  • Skateboards, rollerblades or roller skates
  • Outside alcohol or outside food & beverage
  • Illegal drugs or noxious substances
  • Oversized bags Or luggage (larger than 12”x12”x6”)
  • Lawn chairs
  • No smoking of any kind in the square
  • No offensive signs permitted
  • No umbrellas in the square
  • Any weapon, firearm, knife, etc.
  • Bottles, cans and coolers
  • Professional cameras

FAQs

Is this a family friendly event?

The Ford Tailgate Party in Fan Park and the Scotiabank Playoff Plaza in ICE District are 18+ events with enhanced procedures for entry, including age verification, wrist banding and no re-entry.


Will there be entertainment?

Yes! In addition to the watch party there will also be live music, food and beverages available for purchase and patio games.

Do you accept cash on-site?

This will be a cashless event, please plan accordingly for your trip.


Can I leave and re-enter the area?

Re-entry will not be allowed.


Can I bring alcoholic beverages?

No, outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the event area.


Can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately no, pets (with the exception of service animals) are not permitted on site.


Will there be food and beverage available on site?

Yes, food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the event area.


Can I take photos and videos?

Absolutely! We encourage you to take photos of your experience at the Ford Tailgate Party. Don’t forget to tag us @IceDistrict.


I found a lost item at the watch party, where should I take it?

Guests who have lost or found an item can bring the item to any staff working the event located by the entrance.


I have lost an item, where can I find it?

If you are still on site, check in with the box office during operational hours.

Do I need a ticket to attend?

Tickets are not required and the event is free to attend. Space is limited, make sure you arrive early!


Is proof of vaccination required?

As per the Government of Alberta and Alberta Health Services’ current protocols, proof of vaccination is not required for this event.


Is a mask or face covering required to enter the event?

As per the Government of Alberta, Alberta Health Services and the City of Edmonton’s current protocols, masks or face coverings are not required for this event.

Is the entire event outdoors?

Yes, the Ford Tailgate Party takes place outdoors. Don’t forget to dress for the weather!


Is there a place to sit or rest?

There will be bleacher style seating available on the event site but space will be limited.


Will restrooms be available on-site?

Yes, public washrooms are available onsite.


Is the space wheelchair accessible?

Yes! The area will be wheelchair accessible, however conditions may change for wheelchair access from day to day in response to the weather.


Will you run the event if the forecast is calling for bad weather?

Outdoor event cancellation may occur should dangerous conditions arise (i.e. winds greater than 50 km/hr or temperatures -20 or lower including wind chill).

If there is a cancellation for your time slot, Ticketmaster will issue a refund to the original purchase account.
