FAQ
Is this a family friendly event?
- Yes! Fans of all ages can attend the event. Children under the age of two do not require their own ticket.
Do you accept cash on-site?
- This will be a cashless event, please plan accordingly for your trip.
Can I bring alcoholic beverages?
- No, outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted inside the event area.
Can I bring a water bottle?
- Yes, fans are allowed to bring in soft-sided water bottles to Fan Park and water stations will be available on site.
Can I bring my pet?
- Unfortunately no, pets (with the exception of service animals) are not permitted on site.
Will there be food and beverage available on site?
- Yes, food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the event area.
Can I take photos and videos?
- Absolutely! We encourage you to take photos of your experience at Oktoberfest. Don’t forget to tag us @IceDistrict.
- ICE District welcomes all guests to capture their moments through the permitted use of non-professional, non-flash still photography as long as the lens does not exceed 3” (detachable or non-detachable).
I found a lost item, where should I take it?
- Guests who have lost or found an item can bring the item to any staff working the event located by the entrance.
I have lost an item, where can I find it?
- If you are still on site, check in with the box office during operational hours
- Guests inquiring about a lost item post-event can visit the Rogers Place Box Office during open hours or contact our team by emailing info@icedistrict.com or calling 780-414-LIVE (5483).
What does my ticket purchase get me?
- Your ticket will include admission into the event as well as either one (1) alcoholic beverage or two (2) non-alcoholic beverages.
Is my general admission ticket transferable?
- Tickets for individual days will be transferable through your Ticketmaster Account.
- Visit https://www.ticketmaster.ca/ and click Sign In in the upper right.
Is parking available?
- Brightly lit and securely patrolled, the ICE District Central Parkade offers hundreds of heated spaces and convenient access to Fan Park @ ICE District. Enter via 103 Avenue, just west of 103 Street.
Transit
- The Downtown location makes ICE District accessible by transit, with over 40 bus routes and 5 LRT stations within walking distance from the arena.
Is the entire event outdoors?
- While there will be activities outdoors, we will have a large, Oktoberfest tent to cover the majority of the festival site.
Are umbrellas allowed for Oktoberfest?
- While guests are encouraged to plan for the weather and bring their own umbrellas, please note that umbrellas with pointed tops will not be permitted on the site.
Will restrooms be available on-site?
- Yes, public washrooms are available onsite.
Is the site wheelchair accessible?
- Yes! The site will be wheelchair accessible.
- Outdoor event cancellation may occur should dangerous conditions arise (i.e. lightning in the area, winds greater than 50 km/hr or temperatures -20 or lower including wind chill).
- We will make announcements on social media as well as this webpage with updates. Stay tuned to @IceDistrict across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
- If there is a cancellation for your time slot, Ticketmaster will issue a refund to the original purchase account.
I have feedback about my experience, who do I contact?
- We love to hear from our ICE District guests! Any guest looking to provide feedback regarding their Fan Park experience can utilize several avenues to ensure we are aware of your compliments, comments or concerns.
- Post event, guests can provide feedback by contacting our ICE District Team at info@icedistrict.com or by calling 780-414-LIVE (5483).
The following items are prohibited from entering Fan Park:
- Aerosol products or cans
- Balls or Frisbees
- Bota bags
- Drones, remote-controlled aircraft, toys
- Drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Glass, cans, cups, or coolers
- Inflatables of any kind
- Helium Balloons
- Illegal substances
- Large chains or spiked jewelry
- Laser pointers, whistles, or air horns
- Markers, pens, or spray paint
- Outside food or beverages (including alcohol).
- Pets
- Professional photo, video, or audio recording equipment (detachable lenses, tripods, big zooms or commercial-use rigs)
- Selfie sticks
- Stickers, flyers, posters
- Tents, umbrellas with sharp points, chairs, or blankets
- Toy guns, water guns, slingshots
- No spray paint or permanent markers
- No footballs, soccer balls, or other sports equipment

Donovan Workun
Donovan Workun is a Canadian comedy legend with 35 years experience with Atomic Improv, Canada’s #1 improv comedy group. He’s the high-energy host “Park Ranger Donovan” of the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival all across Canada and the in field host of the Edmonton Riverhawks. His creation, Heckle Hole has people on the links and online laughing pouring in over 30 million views on social media . Donovan is excited and proud to raise a stein and once again be back hosting Canada’s most fun Octoberfest. Prost!!!
Quinn Contini
Quinn Contini is a local comedian, actor, and emcee, and is thrilled to be hosting Oktoberfest! Performing has taken Quinn from coast to coast in Canada and the US, around Europe twice, and as far as Dubai! He is a Co-founder of Marv n’ Berry Sketch Comedy, and while in Edmonton he performs and teaches weekly with Rapid Fire Theatre and Atomic Improv.
