EXCITING EVENTS FOR ALL IN THE HEART OF EDMONTON
OEG Sports & Entertainment is thrilled to announce the Summer SolstICE event series in ICE District for 2023. Alongside an impressive lineup of top-tier concerts at Rogers Place, ICE District Plaza and Fan Park will be the vibrant hub for incredible outdoor events throughout the summer, bringing the Edmonton community together once again to socialize and revel in the heart of the city.
The transformed ICE District Plaza will host an array of summer events, including:
What’s Up Wednesdays
Wednesdays from June 28–September 13
Location: ICE District Plaza
Time: 11:00 AM—2:00 PM
Join us every Wednesday throughout the summer as we show you What’s Up in Edmonton over the next seven days. With programming from local events throughout the city including Jazz Fest, K-Days and many more, along with music from local artists and some of the best food trucks in town! You won’t want to miss out on this weekly lunchtime event series.
The event series is free to attend and no ticket is required.

BOMFEST
June 23 & 24
Location: Fan Park
Boodang Music Canada, F7 Entertainment Group, and OEG Sports & Entertainment are excited to announce their partnership for BOMFEST 2023. The annual electronic music festival will take place on June 23rd and 24th, 2023, at the Fan Park @ ICE District in downtown Edmonton.
This year’s festival promises to be the biggest yet, featuring some of the world’s top electronic acts. The event will showcase a wide range of electronic music genres, from trance to dubstep to house.
Canada Day
July 1
Location: ICE District Plaza & Fan Park
ICE District Plaza and Fan Park @ ICE District will be transformed into a celebration of the best country on the planet with fun for all ages. Fan Park @ ICE District will have drop-in basketball, pickleball and street hockey for everyone to participate in, as well as snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments. ICE District Plaza will feature music, games, inflatables, photo booths, face painting, performers for kids of all ages, the city’s best food trucks, non-alcoholic refreshments and adult beverages. Tim Hicks, Nice Horse and Taylor-Rae are set to perform on the main stage in ICE District Plaza, starting at 5 PM.

Jazzfest
June 28 & 30

Immersive Cinema Experience
July 15, August 19 & September 9
Location: ICE District Plaza
Get your date or friends together for an immersive experience of some of the most popular cult classic movies including themed décor and food and beverage, movie characters and much more.

Beach Volleyball
July 20-23
Location: Fan Park
The Volleyball World BPT is a unique event that combines sports, entertainment, and fun. Offering outstanding beach volleyball matches, live music, and a festival-like atmosphere, the tournament promises to keep fans entertained day and night. Adding to the excitement, the Fan Park @ ICE District, located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, will serve as the epicenter of the event.
Hoop City YEG 3X3 Festival
July 28-30
Location: Fan Park
Get ready for the epic return of basketball’s greatest 3×3 athletes to downtown Edmonton this summer! The 2023 FIBA 3×3 Men’s World Tour and Women’s Series events will be held at ICE District Fan Park.
Edmonton, renowned for its successful 3×3 Challenger events, has been chosen as the exclusive Canadian host for the flagship FIBA World 3×3 Tour for the next three years.
Twelve of the highest ranked men’s and women’s teams, including Olympic gold medalists and reigning World Cup champions, from around the world will compete for valuable Olympic qualifying points.
Hoop City3x3 gives local players of all ages the opportunity to play in the Fan Park among the Olympians. There will be fun for the whole family!
Pride Cup
August 27
Location: ICE District Plaza
Celebrating Pride 365 in Edmonton in true ICE District fashion, by playing hockey! Presented by the Edmonton Oilers, Pride Tape and other community partners, the Pride Cup ball hockey championship proudly supports diversity, equality and inclusion through sport. In addition to the championship game, the event will feature food & drinks, DJs, Oilers alumni and the presentation of the Pride Cup itself.
