With 10 days of winter adventure and entertainment for the entire family, the Winter SoltsICE event series features a variety of special events including a massive snow maze in the Fan Park, skating with Santa in the Plaza, the Oilers Skills Competition, Oilers and Oil Kings hockey, an epic New Year’s Eve celebration and more.

Front Door Experiences are free to attend and no ticket is required.
Snow Way Out
Winter adventure awaits in Downtown Edmonton’s first-ever snow maze experience, Snow Way Out, currently under construction built in ICE District’s new Fan Park, next to Rogers Place. The massive Oilers-themed maze will include a locker room, a snow slide, hot chocolate, snacks and a series of perfect photo opportunities for your social media account.
Snow Way Out opens on December 23 and tickets go on sale on Monday, December 12.
Skating with Santa
Grab your family and your skates for a special skate with Santa and carolers on December 23. Edmonton families can also enjoy hot food and warm (or cold) beverages, outdoor heaters and live entertainment within the “decked halls” of ICE District Plaza. There will also be a special Santa Tracker Skate on December 24, a Christmas Day Family Skate of December 25 and more free public skating on most days throughout the winter months.
Skate rentals are not currently available in ICE District Plaza.
Oilers Skills Competition
The Edmonton Oilers 2022 Skills Competition presented by Rogers is part of the Winter SolstICE event series taking place on December 28 at 7:00 PM at Rogers Place. Oilers fans of all ages will see some of the best players on the planet compete in a variety of skill areas, including the always-popular Fastest Skater and Hardest Shot competitions.
Tickets start at just $15, and go on sale this Friday, December 9 at 10:00 AM MT at EdmontonOilers.com and are expected to sell fast. Net ticket proceeds from this event will go to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and the NHLPA Goals & Dreams Fund.
New Year’s Eve at ICE District
With the Oilers facing off against the Winnipeg Jets for a New Year’s Eve matchup at 8:00 PM, fans are invited down to ICE District Plaza starting at 6:00 PM for a tailgate party and watch party. Then, following the game, ICE District Plaza will be transformed into Edmonton’s biggest New Year’s Eve with live bands, DJs, food and beverages, giant countdown screens and an epic pyro display at the stroke of midnight followed by even more live entertainment.
ICE District Central Parkade
Brightly lit & security patrolled, the ICE District Central Parkade has hundreds of heated spaces and convenient access to Rogers Place and located on the north side of 103 Ave just west of 103 St. The parkade offers 6’10” (2.08 m) clearance and quick indoor access to Rogers Place via the ICE District Central Parkade P1 elevator or through the Stantec Tower Level Two pedway.

For the enjoyment of all of our guests, Rogers Place is a smoke-free environment. All forms of smoking, including the use of cannabis products and electronic cigarettes (vaping), is not permitted on Rogers Place property. Please be aware that guests will not be permitted to exit and re-enter the venue during events.
