ICE District To Host 2025 Edmonton Pride Festival

July 11, 2025 (Edmonton, Alberta) – OEG Sports & Entertainment (OEGSE) announced today that the 2025 Edmonton Pride Festival is coming to ICE District this summer. The festival will take place from August 22 to August 24 and will feature a variety of events including Pink Pony Club, Pride Parade, the 2025 Pride Cup, Pride Fest and more.
“We’re excited to bring the Edmonton Pride Festival to ICE District this summer and are proud to contribute to its ongoing success,” said Stu Ballantyne, COO and President of Rogers Place and ICE District. “We look forward to welcoming thousands of Edmonton residents and visitors out once again this summer, and believe ICE District is the perfect place to come together to celebrate love and strengthen our community.”
“This year’s Pride Festival cranks up the energy like never before,” said Trevor Watson, Executive Producer of the Edmonton Pride Festival. “Our partnership with OEGSE helps us bring that vision to life — transforming downtown Edmonton into a high-voltage celebration packed with headliners, drag icons, dancing, and thousands of people flooding the streets with colour.”
The Edmonton Pride Festival will kick-off with a special Pink Pony Club event in Fan Park @ ICE District on Friday, August 22, featuring live music, acrobats, dancers and mechanical bull rides. Gates open at 5:00 PM.
On Saturday, August 23, the festival will bring the Pride Parade back to the streets of downtown Edmonton, starting in Churchill Square and proceeding through ICE District Plaza and Fan Park @ ICE District. This free event begins at 1:00 PM and will feature thousands of 2SLGBTQ+ community members and supporters coming together to celebrate love, identity and unity.
In addition to the parade, the day’s festivities include the 2025 Pride Cup and Pride Fest. The Pride Cup will see the Edmonton Rage take on the Calgary Pioneers in a ball hockey championship, competing for the coveted Pride Cup trophy. Pride Fest will feature live performances, headlined by Jamie Fine and LU KALA, along with local artists. Attendees can also enjoy a market, food trucks and beer gardens, creating a full day of celebration and connection.
On Sunday, August 24 there will be a Brunch Sing-Along hosted by drag icons Alaska 5000 and Willam. This ticketed event will feature group sing-alongs, performances and more.
